Not even 75 years ago the concept of Organic Farming was one that never crossed anyone’s mind.  The cost of synthetic fertilizers and genetically modified seeds were out of touch for the average farmer. Now with the growing population and the profits that can be made through GMO products, field treatments, antibiotics and mechanized farming, our food supply has taken a disastrous turn. Careful thought and planning should be considered when laying out the future of agricultural food production, as we know it. Currently, land used for agricultural production is shrinking and food production is increasing.  How can we believe that this methodology will sustain us in the future. 
Here at Gray Horse Farm, our thoughts were simple, to raise food as it was designed to be raised. Untamed, pastured, untouched by scientists and healthy, not just for us, but for the animals as well.  We are USDA Certified Organic as well as Certified Naturally Grown. Each in its own represent different aspects of food safety, and stewardship. This is not to be confused with simply knowing your Farmer, knowing your food and visiting the farms. We believe in transparency farming and welcome all of our customers to visit the farm.  Come and experience our vision of real food and real farming.
